Kranium new album, Midnight Sparks, is now out.

Finally, reggae and dancehall fans get an early Christmas, thanks to Kranium. The Jamaican international released his much-awaited album, Midnight Nights. The 12 track project is his first debut album, featuring a diverse guest list. There are features from rapper AJ Tracey and Leicester R&B singer Mahalia, both from the United Kingdom. Other guests are Ty Dolla $ign and Pj from the U.S and a mix of Afrofusion from the Nigerian Burna Boy and fellow Jamaican, Alkaline. The album is a follow up to the EP released in 2015, “Rumors.”

The packed tracklist talks volumes of the artist’s development since his initial debut, a sign of persistence in his growth.

As detailed on the Warner Music Germany website, Kranium is quoted explaining how the new release is packed with sincerity. The reggae international even describes “Midnight Sparks,” as a mix of creativity and empathy. The dancehall singer traces back to Jamaica but grew up in the United States. He details how his travels and the things he had heard while on tour as some of the sources of inspiration behind his new music. Kranium also says that he feels a lot happier with his life at the moment.
“I live my life and channel everything into the music, the vibes are my likeness, how I feel, how I behave and how I speak,” he says.

The album release last Friday was highlighted by the release of the official music video for the song, “In Charge.” Its clip takes the form of a home video, blending perfectly with the song’s sensual lyrics describing hot love-making. “I love it when I’m inside you charge, yeah,” is just one of the lyrics to expect. Bahamian producer Sketch Carey is the brains behind its production.
